Minister of Communications Technology, Debretsion Gebremichael has presented a Bill
concerning cybersecurity to the House of People's Representatives. The
Bill aims to defend the country against cyberattacks by combatting
computer crimes.
Such a law would be
vital to the operation of critical safety systems, such as emergency
response, and to the protection of infrastructure systems.
The rationale is
society's increasing use of Internet, computers, cell phones and mobile
devices everyday to talk, email, text and tweet with family, friends and
colleagues.
